Vehicle Movement
RULES & REGULATIONS

All parade participants must be pre-registered and confirmed by the Monterey Motorsports Festival. No vehicle will be added to the parade on the day of the event under any circumstances.
Participants will receive a color-coded parking pass prior to the event. This pass must be displayed on the dashboard or rearview mirror upon arrival. It identifies your assigned display zone and is required for entry.
The registered vehicle owner or a designated driver must be present and in the vehicle for the duration of the parade. Unattended or unmanned vehicles will not be permitted to participate.
All drivers must hold a valid driver’s license. Proof of license may be requested by MMF staff at any time.
Participation in the parade constitutes full acceptance of these rules and all directions issued by MMF staff, escort teams, and the onsite Fire Marshal.

All vehicles must be in safe operating condition. Any vehicle deemed unsafe by MMF staff or the onsite Fire Marshal will be disqualified from parade participation immediately.
Vehicles must be capable of moving under their own power. No vehicle will be pushed, towed, or trailered through an active pedestrian area.
Vehicles must be able to operate at or below 5 mph in a controlled, steady manner for the duration of the parade route.
No fluid leaks of any kind are permitted. Vehicles found to be leaking oil, fuel, coolant, or any other fluid will be removed from the parade.

All parade vehicles must be on-site and in their designated display zone no later than 4:00 PM. Late arrivals may forfeit their parade position.
Upon arrival, follow the direction of MMF parking staff and your color-coded pass to reach your assigned zone. Do not self-direct or deviate from the route indicated by staff.
Once staged in your display zone, engines must be turned off and keys must remain with the driver until a production team member issues clearance for parade staging.
Vehicles will be called to the parade staging area in a sequence determined by MMF production. You will be notified of your call time. Do not move your vehicle until you are called.

Maximum speed during the parade is 5 mph. This is non-negotiable.
All parade vehicles will be assigned a dedicated escort team. You must follow the direction of your lead escort at all times. The lead escort controls your pace and movement.
Maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead of you at all times. Do not tailgate or close gaps aggressively.
Aggressive driving of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to: burnouts, revving, sudden acceleration, sudden braking, or any action that could startle attendees or other participants.
Windows must remain up or partially up during the parade. Drivers and passengers must remain seated. No part of the body is to extend outside the vehicle while in motion.
All vehicle movement is subject to radio control by the MMF production team. A “hold” command issued by any staff member or escort requires an immediate full stop. Resume movement only upon receiving explicit “go” clearance.
The parade route is pre-approved by venue management and the onsite Fire Marshal. No deviations from the designated route are permitted under any circumstances.
If your vehicle experiences any mechanical issue during the parade, immediately signal your escort. Do not attempt to self-diagnose or repair on the route. Staff will assist with a safe removal from the corridor.

At the conclusion of the event, no vehicle movement will begin until all attendee areas have been fully cleared and the production coordinator has issued load-out clearance via radio.
Vehicles will be released from their display zones in a controlled sequence. You will be notified when your zone is cleared for departure.
Do not approach, start, or move your vehicle until you have received direct clearance from an MMF staff member.
All vehicles must exit via the designated load-out route. Do not use pedestrian walkways or non-designated paths.

All participants and their guests are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
Alcohol consumption by the registered driver is strictly prohibited prior to or during the parade.
MMF staff, escort teams, the onsite Fire Marshal, and venue security have full authority to issue directions to any participant. Failure to comply with a direct instruction is grounds for immediate removal from the event.
MMF reserves the right to remove any vehicle or participant from the event at any time for any safety-related reason without advance notice.
MMF is not responsible for any damage to vehicles, personal property, or injuries sustained as a result of failure to follow these rules.
